BRANDON SANDERSON DOES IT AGAIN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!

If you have been reading any of my previous reviews you would know that I am extremely picky about the books I like. For so long now, Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy had been my all-time favorite series, it helped me see the world from a different perspective and I remember how my thoughts and emotions were all over the place when I was reading it. It was just plain epic.

Well, the Stormlight Archive looks like it’s going to redefine epicness for me. I personally think that there is no current series that can even rival this one.

Bookworms, we are looking at a new classic in epic fantasy!

I am honoured to be part of the Wicked Saints’ Blog Tour, so thanks to the amazing people in Wednesday Books. Stay tuned for a free excerpt of the book at the end of the review.

To be honest, I think this is a classic case of a debut novel; an author with great potential (I can see her becoming one of my favourite authors one day), a story with an intriguing plot, all mixed with poor execution; sounds familiar? As I have mentioned, this has become a classic case for me.

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this book. I enjoyed it; it was so intriguing, but in the same time it was too…depressing?

Yes, let’s go with depressing, for a lack of a better term.

E-ARC received via Penguin Random House, in exchange for an honest review.

This was one of the most thought provoking books I have ever read. It’s not my preferred genre, and it doesn’t contain any of the elements or themes that I usually find myself attracted to. Yet, I was deeply immersed into the stories and found myself thinking deeply about each one of them.

Mistborn: The Final Empire – Spoiler Free Review.

  • Author: Brandon Sanderson
  • Genre: YA Fantasy
  • Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

The Mistborn trilogy is one of those hyped up trilogies that I usually approach with skepticism for the fear of being disappointed. But was I disappointed after reading the first book? Omg absolutely not, it was everything I have ever wanted to find in a book; Brandon Sanderson is simply a genius.

The book handled heavy themes that were amazingly executed, the characters were so vivid, the setting was one of the best I have ever seen in a fantasy world, and the magic system was SO unique. Simply put, I loved every single aspect about this book.

I don’t really know how to feel about this book; I really enjoyed it despite the fact that it had certain issues that are a big turnoffs for me. I ended up giving it 4 stars though, because well I can’t deny enjoying it (like seriously I laughed so hard sometimes). However, if you are looking for the new Lunar Chronicles; this is not it.

Falling Kingdoms – Spoiler Free Review

Welcome to Falling Kingdoms! Welcome to a land where no one is safe; buckle up and I would strong;y advice to not get attached to any character; anyone can die in the blink of an eye.

Omg, this was such a roller coaster ride, right from the get go. I was absolutely intrigued by the synopsis itself, and then I read the prologue, which completely blew my mind, next thing I knew I was just reading, reading and reading. I think I am out of my reading slump; this book has officially made it to my list of favorites.
